KEGAGALAN kontraktor melakukan kerja-kerja kutipan sampah di kawasan perumahan Taman Ria, Padang Serai Kedah mengikut jadual menimbulkan kesulitan kepada penduduk.
Penduduk mendakwa terdapat beberapa longgokan sampah terutama sisa pepejal sehingga hampir seminggu tidak dikutip.
Keadaan itu telah mencemarkan imej persekitaran dan mengundang kehadiran lalat dan anjing liar.
Bukan itu sahaja, keadaan menjadi lebih teruk selepas hujan apabila air busuk tersebar ke kawasan lebih luas dan takungan air menjadi tempat pembiakan nyamuk.
